The goal of this initiative is essentially to create inclusiveness in healthcare and allow for cultural competency among doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff. It has become apparent that there are several implicit biases that exist in healthcare and Equitable Medicine wishes to share the stories of minority groups who have, perhaps, faced the consequences of these biases. The initiative functions to discuss the several underlying social disparities that exist in healthcare that are faced in certain regions, and therefore, by specific individuals.
The initiative's mission & vision involves active engagement in communication, education, and service towards local communities.
